UPDATE: The Treasury made the Front Page of Etsy this morning! Congrats to all of the artists!

Week 7-Vine Necklaces

I'm a huge fan of Gosia Domanshiej and her work was the inspiration for my attempt at making this vining pendant out of copper. I liked it enough to add some silver beads and chain, and a green CZ drop. So the next one I did in fine silver and I took it a bit farther-maybe too far. The briolette on the bottom is pink anethyst. I then added some spinel rondelles in various shades of pink and lilac. Next I might attempt a pair of earrings. Getting them to match will be a challenge.

My Creative Space...

Some yummy new stones waiting to be incorporated into new designs...
{I'm still daydreaming and brainstorming about how best to use them.}
{citrine, garnet, rainbow moonstone, amethyst, bi-prehnite}
I'm particularly smitten with these rainbow moonstone briolettes--the shades of blue are so lovely and ethereal...

Fairy Tale Friday...

Some golden, Fairy Tale finds for your Friday...
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

My Creative Space...

 Today I've been sketching designs for a custom work commission...
A lovely bride-to-be in Australia recently contacted me about making a pair of BonBon earrings for her wedding in the most unusual and elegant color scheme of burgundy and olive green. I've been searching for just the right stones in the right shades of red and green for the project, and even made a little sample motif {in the upper right hand corner...}
And speaking of BonBon Earrings {it seems like I've been speaking about them quite a bit on my blog lately!} the pair I was working on in last week's Creative Space post are now finished and available in my Etsy shop...
These reminded me of water lilies, so I named them after the nymphs of streams and ponds in Greek Mythology--the Naiads. I was experimenting with layering my gold lace over the silk thread, and I'm really pleased with the effect...the long, delicate drops are also something new :)
